Bumhan Fuel Cell Co., Ltd. has succeeded in commercializing in the field of defense industry, which requires the highest technology for the hydrogen fuel cell. Bumhan Fuel Cell Co., Ltd. was established in December of 2019 through “split off” from Bumhan Industrial Co., Ltd. to accelerate its business. Based on military fuel cell business, our company has a remarkable growth and a performance in the fuel cell business for building and hydrogen refueling station business in a short period.

The second in the world, following after Siemens(Germany), Bumhan succeeded in developing and commercializing submarine fuel cells which require the highest technology in field of the fuel cell. Starting with the supply of fuel cells to submarines of the Korean Navy in 2018, the entire hydrogen fuel cell module will be supplied to Jang Bogo class Ⅲ which will be completed by 2029.

Bumhan is aggressively establishing a various business portfolio based on a submarine fuel cell technology, a global top technology, and responding quickly to the changes of the energy paradigm. In particular, it has completed the demonstration of hydrogen propulsion ships with reliable technology proven in harsh marine environments and is expanding its business area to mobilities such as unmanned sumbersion, drones, and hydrogen electric vehicles.

In addition to having a number of installation track records in field of the large-scaled building fuel cell, it also has a line up of hydrogen and natural gas application products with various outputs and is responding to the future market demand by developing cascade-type high-efficiency SOFC fuel cells for large-scaled power generation projects.
